The Explanation of the Dream With the Dream

《马大帅》是赵本山自导自演的一部电视连续剧,不同于先前热播的《刘老根》(1、2)中对现代性的热切拥抱,《马》剧以农民视角犀利剖析现代性,把城市文明“繁华遮蔽下的贫困”曝晒在阳光下。不过赵本山在解构“美国梦”式的现代性神话的同时,却用农民式的乐观打造了一个新的弱不禁风的都市梦想。

Ma Dashuai is the TV series directed and acted by Zhao Benshan, which is different from Liu Laogen (I, II ) performed before. The latter expresses the desire for modernization, while the play Ma Dashan analyzes sharply the modern life form the peasants' view and makes the city civilization 'the depression hidden in the flourished appearance' exposed to the sun. But when Zhao Benshan explained the modern myth of 'American dream', he forges a new and fragile city dream with a peasant's optimism.
