The necessity to be partially protected from the nitriding for workpiece to be gas nitrided, the requirements for antinitriding coating and the methods of effectivness detection of antinitriding were summarized. A SG- Ⅱ type coating was introduced which is easy to be made up, cheap in price and effctive on antinitriding.
