Foreign motion picture and TV programs translation is one of the members in the big family of translation field. Because of the quite different presentation between foreign and Chinese culture and thinking, it will surely be affected by crosscultural communication. Being an important component in mass media, there are some peculiar approaches of language characteristics in its translation. Through the research to translation of foreign films and TV programs, language characteristics in colloquialism, liprounding, character's temperament and emotion as well as popularization have been illustrated. Translation approaches and skills are suggested in semantic synchronization and discourse of utterance.
