Contrast of the adverbs“already”and“only”

副词“就”和“才”在时间、数量、范围等方面的使用中有交叉现象。本文着重从句法、语义来论述“就”与“才”在时间、数量、范围方面的异同,探究其原因。同时,分析“才”对“就”的歧义分化作用。

The adverbs “already” and “only” sometimes exist the phenomenon of the same meaning. This dissertation mainly argues their differences and similarities in time, quantity and scope from the view of syntax and semantics. It also analyses its reasons. At the same time, it presents the eleminating misinterpretation effect of “only” on “already”.
