珠江三角洲地区工业轻型化问题初探

Research on the Light Industry-dominated Structure in the Pearl River Delta Region

在比较分析珠江三角洲地区的经济以后发现,珠三角工业呈现一种轻型化特征,即轻工业在工业份额中所占比重较大,而重工业所占比重小。进而,笔者探讨了形成珠三角地区工业格局的原因。值得注意的是,同样是轻工业占主导地位,意大利产业区仍然呈现出强大的竞争力。经过分析,笔者认为珠三角经济发展获得持续的动力出路并不在于一定要区域产业中的重化工业所占的比重有多大,在于逐步建立和完善适合企业集群的良好环境,促进具有国际竞争力的企业集群的发展。

By the analysis of the economy of the Pearl River Delta Region (PRDR), it is found that PRDR is dominated by light industries. The author probes into the causes of the formation of industry structure in PRDR. It is worth noticing that the Italian Industry Region, which is also light industry-dominated, has maintained its strong competitiveness. Based on the analysis, the paper concludes that the sustained economic development of PRDR is not necessarily determined by the industrial structure in the region but by the establishment and improvement of favorable environment for the agglomeration of competitive enterprises.
