Zeng Shan's Revolutionary Activity in Nanchang

曾山同志不仅是江西省苏维埃运动的主要领导人,而且与南昌有缘。抗日战争爆发以后,他出任中共中央东南分局副书记和江西省委书记、第一任南昌市委书记,在南昌协助项英、陈毅组建新四军和开展抗日救亡活动,成绩卓著;新中国成立后,他六次来南昌指导工作,为建设江西做出了重要贡献。

Comrade Zeng Shan is not only the main leader of Soviet movement in Jiangxi province, but also had a chance with Nanchang. After Anti-Japanese War broke out , he took the post as the vice-secretary of southeast branch office of the Central Committee, the secretary of Jiangxi committee and the first secretary of Nanchang Committee of CPC. He helped Xiang Ying and Chen Yi to set up the New Fourth Army and develop the activity of resisting against Japan and saving the nation from extinction in Nanchang, the result was outstanding. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he came to Nanchang to inspect the work six times and made important contribution to the construction of Jiangxi.
