It is necessary to get the monitoring information from outer or farther area in power monitoring system. This paper introduces a distant inquiry component, as well as its design of software in details. The experiment results show that the distant inquiry component implements inquiry of monitoring data from long-distance, increases the monitoring quality, and presents the security for safe operation in power monitoring system and wide monitoring and analysis on the power field.
