On the Multi-Functionality of Agriculture in the Liberalization of Trade

在对农业的多功能性概念和背景进行解读之后,重点对其进行了经济学分析,判定多功能性的存在对各国福利的影响。根据各国不同立场,提出目前对此问题的焦点不再是问题提出之初的“合理性”的争论,而是有关“规范性”的界定。在此基础上,认为我国应尽快开展有关的定量研究,强调在此问题上的发展中国家的特定立场,积极地、理性地运用农业的多功能性来实现对本国农业的支持。

Based on an explanation and background of the multi-functionality of agriculture, the paper has analysed it from a financial and economic perspective, pointing out its impact on the public welfare system: the major concern at present is how to standardize it rather than to argue for its justification. The paper further holds that the task for China today is to conduct quantitative studies, and highlight the Chinese characteristic concerning the subject so as to promote Chinese agriculture in a broader sense.
