一种无线局域网中利用信道状态信息的维特比算法

Viterbi algorithm using the channel state information for wireless LAN systems

摘要 维特比算法是一种基于最大似然序列检测的方法,它为传输的比特序列检测最可能的传输序列.在维特比译码时,利用信道状态信息(CSI)对欧氏距离加权,系统的性能会有显著的提高.采用子载波的幅度进行加权,通过采用WLAN 802.11a OFDM系统进行仿真验证表明,系统性能提高了3.6~5.2 dB.由于无线局域网物理层的一致性,此方法也适用于其他无线局域网标准. Viterbi algorithm is an implementation of the maximum-likelihood (ML) detector, which searches for the possible codeword and detects the one that is most likely to have generated the received sequence. The performance can be improved by using the channel state information (CSI) in viterbi decoder. In the paper,|H k| which is the amplitude of carrier is used as CSI.It is showed that a great improvement of 3.6-5.2 dB can be achieved according to the simulation results of the WLAN 802.11a OFDM system. Because of international physical (PHY) layer harmonization, the algorithm can be equally applicable to the other Wireless Local Area Network standards.
