中国上古神话丰富多彩,但却零散而不成系统。造成这一现象的主要原因是,政教合一体制使中国神话失去了独立于政治之外的传人和传承体系,在政权的操纵下,前一代神话在后一代往往失去了传承和提高的可能,神话发展的链条在一次次政权交替中反复断裂,致使神话不能按自身规律持续发展,最终未能形成成熟的神话系统。

The mythology is rich and colorful in ancient China, but scattered instead of becoming the system. The main reason of this phenomenon is that the policy-education unified system made Chinese mythology lose successor. The roller chain of the development of the mythology ruptures repeatedly when each regime is replaced so the mythology can't be developed continuously according to its own law, and fact to form the ripe mythical system finally.
