关于汉语“满洲”一词之由来

早在皇太极用“满洲”取代“诸申”(女真、肃慎)一词为族名之前,在汉文史籍中已多次出现“满洲”一词。后为学术界所确认指代满族的“满洲”一词系由女真语“Manju”一词之对译。选取“满洲”作为对译,有着深刻的文化内涵,反映出当时满族上层汉学修养之精深和最高统治者立志之高远。

There had been the word Manchu many times in Chinese literatures early before confirming to use Manchu as their nationality name instead of Jurchen by Huangtaiji.The word Manchu in Chinese is translated from Jurchen word'Manju',which implied deep cultural contents reflecting the high level of Chinese studies and the great ambition of the highest controllers.
