虞舜族地望考

A Study on Where the Hometown of Yu Shun's Clan Is

虞本作吴，其地域是斗宿对应之地。即当今江苏、安徽南部、湖南东南、江西至浙江上海一带。有虞氏的祖国在吴地，舜生于湘南之桥地．亦日姚墟。封于昊地．多次迁徙，后迁至负夏、妫汭、寿丘，即帝位于今天的长沙一带。北方虞迹应当是舜之后代和周章弟虞仲带去的。

The Chinese character'虞'(Yu) derives from'吴'(Wu).According to the corresponding relations between regions and counstellation in ancient China,'吴'refers to Jiangsu,the south of Anhui,the southeast of Hunan,Jiangxi,Zheijang and Shanghai.The hometown of Yu Shun's clan is'吴'(Wu).Shun was born in the south of Hunan(also called Yaoxu),migrated to Fuxia,Guina and Shouqiu with his clan,and ascended the throne in the center of Hunan,approximately,the region of present Changsha.Historic relics of the Shun clan in north China may be left by the later generations of Shun and ZHOU Zhang's brother,YU Zhong.
