思想政治教育实质上就是个体在社会环境的影响下，将社会主流价值观念及其行为方式内化为个人思想意识及行为的过程。个体自我意识的形成与发展既是思想政治教育的产物．在思想政治教育过程中起主体和主因作用；也是促进个体自我教育、巩固思想政治教育实际效果的重要途径。

Ideological and political education is essentially a process of internalizing individuals with the mainstream of social values and its pattern of behaviour.As a product of ideological and political education,the formation and the development of self-consciousness is an important way to promote self-education and to consolidate the achievements of ideological and political education.
