铅笔柏种子具有胚生理后熟现象。层积温度5-8℃时.后熟作用最快,高于或低于5-8℃时.后熟作用减慢。层积期间如于高温可诱导二次休眠。铅笔柏种子在最佳后熟条件下,层积60天,种子可以解除休眠,分别比秋季层积和隔年埋藏缩短90天和300天,为当年进口种子和当年育苗赢得了时间。
The seed of Eastern redcedar (Sabina virginiana (L. )Ant. )has the embryo with afterripening physiological phenomenon. It is noted that the process of seed after-ripening under stratified storc is at maximum speed if temperature is kept at 5 - 8℃. The process, however,will be slowed down when the temperature is higher or lower the range of 5-8℃. It will induce seed dormancy for the second time during the period of stratified store in case the temperature is too high. If the seed of Eastern redcedar is under the most favorable after-ripening conditions,the state of dormancy will be relieved after being stratified only 60 days which is shortened 90and 300 days respectively as compared with the ways of stratified in autumn of. current year or taking layers,buried store in the next year. As a result of this study, time is advantageously gained in raising the seedlings in nursery in current year with the curreont year's imported seeds.
