The electrical drive has been the main form for oil drilling rig recent year.It become the rigit platform of approaching automation and intelligency.In this artical partial working theories of electrical drilling rig was analysed initially, such as the requirments of electrical drive for the working machine,the working principles of SCR DC drive and VFD AC drive,analysis of characters of DC and AC motors,the four quadrant motion and principles of energy brack etc.
