On Re-orientaion Of Teacher's Roles In College English Teaching

大学英语教学应建立基于网络的多媒体教学的新模式。这种新的教学模式以“学生自学为主”,而教师则由“知 识的主要传播者”变成了联系学生和多媒体网络的中介。因此,教师应对自己的作用进行重新定位,不仅要熟练掌握多媒体 网络的使用,而且要改变传统的面授课所采取的教学方法,充分发挥其中介作用。

The approaching reform on college English teaching is to replace the traditional teaching model with a new one,which is based on multimedia. This new model emphasizes the students' automatic study and the teachers' traditional role of “transmitting knowledge” is changed into a media connecting the students and the multimedia. Therefore, the teachers should re-orientate their roles and not only master the multimedia knowledge but also change the traditional teaching model in the face-to-face class so as to put the teachers' role into full play.
