摘要
人类白细胞分化抗原作为一种粘附分子,主要与细胞外透明质酸结合,参与关节软骨基质中透明质酸的代谢,因而它与各种骨关节疾病包括大骨节病关系密切。本文从人类白细胞分化抗原的基因结构、蛋白结构、生物学功能等多方面阐述了近年来国内外在骨关节疾病领域的研究成果,并对开展有关人类白细胞分化抗原和大骨节病的研究提出了建议。
Cluster of differentiation 44(CD44) is a principal cell surface receptor for hyaluronate(HA), a major component of extracellular matrices. Interaction of CD44, a cell adhesion molecule, with its HA, has been suggested to play a critical role in a number of biological manifestations, including inflammation, tumorigenesis, and regulation of immune responses. Of the many functions, CD44 focuses on its involvement in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, as well as on HA metabolism in cartilage. The structural organization and ligand binding characteristics of CD44 are focus of this review. On the basis of recent structural and functional studies, details of the CD44-hyaluronate interaction are beginning to be understood at the molecular level in detail.
