基于目录数据库实现网络设备管理

随着网络规模的扩大,网络中的设备越来越多,布线也越来越复杂,引入一个设备管理系统的必要性越来越突出。当前流行的管理信息系统很多,但大多数是基于各种关系型数据库的。网络设备之间以及设备与用户之间的连接关系则更像是一个树状的结构,采用目录数据库会更合适。开发了网络设备管理信息系统,该系统以目录数据库为核心,采用OpenLDAP、JAVA语言等,实现了对校园网网管人员、设备和布线等信息的集中管理,并在北京交通大学校园网上运行使用1年多了,效果良好。

Along with the fast development of network, there were more and more devices and cables connected in network.As a result, an Information Management System for device was urgently needed. Admittedly, there have been many popularinformation management systems, most of which were based on relationship database. However, since link relationshipbetween devices and users was similar to directory structure, a directory database was more suitable. The Network DevicesManagement Information System, which was based on directory database, OpenLDAP, JAVA language, etc, was set up toimplement the centralized administration of network administrators, devices and cables. It was applicated in School Networkof Beijing Jiaotong University for more than one year, got good effictiveness.
