姓名是一种语言现象,同时也是一面社会镜子。在过去很长时期,中英文姓名从一个侧面反映了对女性的歧视。从父系姓氏的沿袭、男女取名的差异和已婚妇女姓名的变化等方面,阐述中英文姓名歧视女性的具体表现。

As a kind of language phenomenon and a mirror of society, names reflect the sexual prejudice on women. Through a brief survey on the rule of following patronymic, the difference of naming for men and women, and the change of the names of married women, the paper attempts to examine how sexual prejudice on women is reflected in English and Chinese names.
