"The Style of ci Originating Among the People" and "ci Originating from the Court-Feast Music in the Sui and Tang Dynasties"

“词体发生于民间”与“词起源于燕乐”,在音乐文艺活动的层面上是相关联的学术命题。词体发生学的研究,应当解脱空洞推论某种音乐特性导致词体产生的单一思路,以“人的行为”为中心,探究在歌曲传唱与文学创作的双向建构中词体生成的行为机制,以求“词体起源”获得符合历史真相的解释。脱离人的行为而以物化音乐为出发点的词体起源说,在学理上应予彻底反省。其延伸的学术启示是:当代文体学研究应建构富有新意的“文体生态学”和“功能文体学”,从而使文体起源与流变的研究得以深化和拓展。

The style of ci originating among the people' and 'ci originating from the court-feasting music in the Sui and and Tang Dynasties' are the interrelated academic propositions on the level of music activities. The study of the origination of style of ci should come out of the unitary thinking in which some characteristic of music leads to the origination of the style of ci under the vacant inference. The study should, in the centre of man's actions, explore the active system of the origination of the style of ci under the two-way constructions of songs passing and literary creation, so as to get the explanation of the origination of the style of ci in the agreement to the historical facts. It must be re-considered thoroughly in academics that the study of the origination of the style of ci based on the materialized music separated from human actions. The academic revelation is that the contemporary study of stylistics should build up the stylistic ecology and the functional stylistics which are full of new meanings in order to deepen and broaden the study of the stylistic origin and its change.
