The important topic of the international research on Engels is the relationship between Engels’ thoughts and revisionism. Engels was regarded as the headstream of revisionism by Bernstein, western Marxists, and Marxclogists. There is need for understanding the differences between revision and revisionism, theoretical innovation and revisionism, and principle of theory and policy of practice.
