U.S. Navy Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) infrastructure builds upon the three joint networks: a Joint Planning Network (JPN) used to collaborative execute planning throughout the theater, a Joint Data Network (JDN) used at the forces coordination and execution level, and a Joint Sensor Network used to distribute and fuse real-time sensor data to support Engagement Systems. NCW enhances the battlespace situational awareness ability and enables Information Superiority in military operations.
