国学思想浓厚的胡适留学美国,深受西方现代文化观念影响,积极向国内输入现代思想和新方法。他倡导文言一致的白话文;强调发展科学,融合中西文化,充分世界化,用现代科学方法整理国故,再造文明,为中国能与世界各国并驾齐驱而努力;并不失时机地向西方宣传介绍悠久的中国文化。

When HU shi,who has a deep love of his native culture,studied in the United States,he was deeply infuenced by modern western culture.He was active in introducing modern conceptions and methods into China,in advocating the vernacular that both speaking and writing are the same.He stressed developing sciences,combining western and Chinese cultures together and being fully internationalized.He applied the modern scientific ways to sorting out Chinese heritage and tried to rebuild Chinese civilization,so that China could one day go ahead with other countries.He also caught every opportunity to introduce Chinese culture abroad.
