EXPLOITATIVE PRINCIPLE OF SOIL RESOURCES IN THE YELLOWRIVER DELTA AND COASTAL ZONE OF BOHAI-LAIZHOU BAY

黄河三角洲及渤海莱州湾滨海区土壤资源以土壤含盐量高和肥力低为其突出特点。干旱的气候、黄河尾阎河道的摆动、咸水的侵染、风暴潮的侵袭等自然条件和人类活动决定着土壤发生与发展的总趋势。生物与工程措施相结合综合洽理早、涝、盐、咸、瘦，农、林、牧、渔、盐综合发展，是合理开发利用土壤资源、维护生态平衡的可行途径。

he outstanding characteristics of the soil resources are of high salt contentand poor soil fertility in the Yellow River delta and the coastal zone of Bobal Bayand Laizhou Bay (only part of Shandong Province). The soil genesis and developmental tendency depend upon natural factors such as a dry climate, fluctuationof tail channel of the Yellow River, salt water intrusion and storm surge hit,andhuman activities. By combining biological measures with engineering measures,drought, waterlogging, soil salinization, saline ground water and infertility willbe comprehensively managed agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery andsalt industry will be overall developed. This proves to be a feasible way to exploit the soil resources rationally and maintain ecological balance.
