On the Rapid Progress of Marxist Historical Studies during the War of Resistance against Japan

马克思主义史学在抗日战争时期获得了前所未有的飞速发展。抗战时期的特殊学术使命、中国共产党领导人的指导和关怀、延安整风运动的推动等对这一时期马克思主义史学的发展发挥了关键性作用。马克思主义史学在抗战时期的重大发展改变了中国史学界的旧格局,突破了传统史学研究范式,极大地推动了中国史学的科学化进程,并为建国后马克思主义史学的发展奠定了基础。

Marxist historical studies progressed by leaps and bounds during the War of Resistance against Japan with tremendous achievements. The special academic mission during the War of Resistance against Japan, the guidance and concern from the Chinese Communist leaders and the motive force generated by the rectification movement at Yan'an played a key role in the development of Marxist historical studies in this period of time. These great developments brought about profound changes in the old pattern of historical studies in China and broke through the traditional historical research paradigm and greatly propelled forward the scientific process of Chinese historical studies and laid solid foundation for in-depth development of Marxist historical studies after the founding of New China.
