Five species (including a new species) of the genus Neobelocera Ding et Yang (Homoptera, Fulgoroidea, Delphacidae) are recognized. The illustrations of the new species N. laterospina sp. nov. and N. lanpingensis Chen, 2003 are given and a key to species is presented. All specimens, including the types of new species, are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University.1 Neobelocera asymmetrica Ding et Yang, 1986 Neobelocera asymmetrica Ding et Yang, 1986. Body length ♂ 2.8-2.9mm, ♀ 3.2-3.5mm; including teg. ♂ 4.9-5.1mm, ♀ 5.4-5.7mm; tegmen length ♂ 4.1-4.4mm, ♀ 4.6-4.7mm. This new species is related to N. lanpingensis Chen, but can be easily distinguished from the latter by the following characters: frons without pale transverse stripe below level of lower margin of eyes; ventral margin of pygofer concaving at middle, without medioventral process; genital styles with a long process subapically; aedeagus not forked at base, suddenly fold at basal 1/3, with 2 processes at apex. The species name is derived from the Latin, “latero-” and “spina”, referring to the pre- sence of lateral, long spines on the ventral margin of male pygofer. Host plant. Indocalamus sp. Distribution.
