The Studies on the Web Self-organization and the Applications

Despite its decentralized and unorganized nature, the Web self-organizes to 'allow identification of highly related pagesbased on hyperlinks. This serf-organization is significant for Web management and Web information access. This paper introduces theWeb self-organization and the arithmetic operations for identifying the naturally formed communities. It suggests that the Web self-or-ganization could be effectively used to improve the search engines and information filtering, to study the development of interdisciplinax^connection, and to solve the' digital divide'.
