With the development of sensor,computer and communication,the researcher attaches more and more attentions to the research of the wireless sensor networks because of its bright future in applications.This paper introduces the architecture,characteristics of wireless sensor networks.Then,some key questions of the research field are discussed based on the basic principles.The end of paper discusses the application fields of wireless sensor networks and comes to a conclusion.
