ALSTOM Transport has developed the range of PRIMA TM locomotive which answers modularity and standardisation requirements requested to meet operator needs. The electric PRIMAT M locomotives are designed for the European market where interoperability and road traffic competition have become great challenges. After the dual votage version for France, ALSTOM now propose to the market the three voltage locomotive for cross-border traffic between France, Germany and Switzerland. The development stages of PRIMA TM range and the contracts awarded by SNCF are recalled in this article.
