More Attention to Cultural Differences in College English Teaching

英语教学中应从词汇、短语以及社会习俗诸方面注意中西文化差异,采用多种途径提高学生对文化差异的敏感性,从而使学生能正确地理解语言。

In this paper I suggest that the university teachers should pay much attention to the cultural differences between China and western countries,especially in vocabulary,phrases and social customs.In an attempt to make the real meaning of the language understood accurately and used correctly, all sorts of teaching methods should be used in fostering the students’sensitivity to cultural differences.
