Ideology and Ideological Criticism in Film

意识形态是反映特定的经济形态、阶级或社会集团利益与要求的观念体系。电影本质上不是对“物质现实的复原“,而是按照主体的观念对物质世界的重新构造,具有鲜明的意识形态性。好莱坞电影与美国现实政治常常是一种互文关系,显示出了电影鲜明的意识形态特征。

Film is not a true restoration but a restructuring of the material world on the basis of subjective ideas, thus gaining some distinctive features of ideology, which is the reflection of certain economical structure, benefit and demands of certain social class or group. Therefore Hollywood films are closely related with American ideology and featured with conspicuous ideology.
