20世纪神圣空间的价值得到了重新评估和解释,随着其社会地位和影响力的日益降低,教堂建筑的发展越来越趋同于世俗建筑,同时这种趋势又推动了当代教堂建筑的发展,促使其展现出不同于以往的独特魅力。通过对多个当代著名建筑师设计的部分基督教堂的实例的分析,对比不同时代社会、宗教以及建筑等方面背景的研究,从建筑师个性化的表达、民族化与地域化的影响以及宗教人性化的要求等多个角度探讨了当代基督教教堂建筑的发展趋势。指出只有多元化的设计才能创造出符合我们这个时代特征的教堂建筑。

The value of the sacred space was reappraised and reinterpreted in the twentieth century. With the depression of its social station and influence, the development of contemporary Christianity church architecture now tends to the development of common architecture. At the same time, the current promotes the development of Christianity church architecture and makes it taking on exclusive charm different from the old time. By analyzing some examples designed by many famous contemporary architects and studying the background about different society, religion and architecture, this paper makes an inquiry into the development of contemporary Christianity church architecture from different angels, which include the architects' individuation, the influence of the nationality and the need of religion's humanism. In the end, the paper points out that we can acquire the Christianity church architecture according with the characteristics of this time only by pluralistic design.
