科技文摘,在语篇结构、文体风格、社会功能等方面具有特定的体裁特征。将体裁分析运用于科技文摘翻译中,可帮助译者了解科技文摘在不同的语言和不同文化中的各自社会功能、交际目的、认知模式及语言使用策略,从而更好地生产出符合目的语文化的译文。
Technical abstracts have their own features in terms of communicative functions, linguistic patterns and textual structures. Therefore, genre analysis can be useful to translators since it can enhance the their awareness of the differences in social functions, communicative purposes, cognitive structures and linguistic patterns that technical abstracts represent in different cultures. Such awareness is crucial for production of a translation that conforms to the target culture conventions.
