Actively Develop the Education of Engineering Course and Expand the Developmental Space for Non-governmental institutions of Higher Learning

回顾我国民办高校科类结构的发展,分析其设置特点及其形成原因,针对当前实际情况,论述了民办高校发展理工科专业、特别是工科专业,拓展发展空间的重要意义,讨论民办高校科类结构转型的背景、问题与挑战,并就民办高校如何发展理工科专业以进一步拓宽办学空间提出了建议与对策。

<Abstrcat>The paper reviews the development of the structure of subjects of the non-governmental institutions of higher learning in China and analyses its characteristics and the causes of its formation. In line with the present situation, it expounds the significance of developing the education of science and engineering, especially that of engineering, in non-governmental institutions of higher learning, presenting the background, problems and challenges in transforming the structure of subjects in non-governmental institutions of higher learning and putting forth proposals and measures in regard to the development of the education of science and engineering and to the expansion of school-running space.
