The Think-Aloud Protocol——Exploring the Internal Process of Translation

摘要 西方学者在翻译的实证性研究领域借鉴了认知心理学研究方法--有声思维记录,试图揭示译者大脑的思维操作过程,研究翻译的认知过程;将其成果应用于(1)翻译教学法研究,(2)口译与同声传译过程研究,发展了翻译研究中的实证研究模式,更证明了翻译研究的科学性、多学科性之学科特点.本文论述了有声思维实验在翻译研究中的应用,以期有助于在我国翻译领域尝试开展实证研究. Western scholars have made persistent exploration in the development of empirical research and descriptive studies in the light of cognitive psychology and its experimentation—the think-aloud protocol in the attempt to reveal the translator’s mental thinking and operations, the cognitive processes in translation. Their achievements have been transferred into studies on (1) translation pedagogy, and (2) processes of interpreting, and have confirmed that Translation Studies is both scientific and multidisciplinary in character. This paper presents an analysis on TAP research applied in translation studies to encourage new empirical models in translation studies in China.
