人的全面发展水平是衡量文化先进性的重要尺度,发展先进文化是促进人的全面发展的内在诉求,二者相辅相成,相得益彰,和谐统一于建设中国特色社会主义的伟大实践中。我们既要从理论上探讨人的全面发展与先进文化发展之间的关系,还要在实践中贯彻“三个代表’重要思想”要求,始终代表中国先进文化的前进方向,把先进文化发展与人的全面发展真正落到实处。

Man's overall development is both Marx's philosophical core and the ultimate aim of socialist development. As culture is the soul of the society, the task of developing advanced culture lies with the promotion of man's overall development. The level of man's overall development is the yardstick of advanced culture, and developing advanced culture is the requirement of promoting man's overall development. The two aspects are supplementary to each other, harmoniously unifying in the great practice of constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics. In addition to our efforts in the theoretic research, we should also follow the requests of the important thinking of 'Three Represents' by carrying out the harmonious unity of man's overall development and the development of advanced culture.
