Aisin Gioro Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, gave up the throne in the storm of the 1911 Revolution. He was unwilling to step down from the stage of history and attempted to restore the old system. In order to realize the continental policy, Japan looked for the agent for Japanese interests in China by every possible means. According to both sides'needs, Puyi colluded with Japan and served as another instrument of Japanese imperialism before September 18th Incident. This dissertation recounts the development of the relations between Puyi and Japan, and analyzes different characteristics in every period.
