Lingnan culture of the Tang Dynasty from the perspective of reflections of commerce in literature

从唐代文学反映岭南商业的总体状况来看,岭南文化在唐代有了飞跃式发展,但具体情况又是复杂的。就物质层面看,其商业文化前锋在全国已达到了最高水准,但其落后之处又处于最低水准;就精神层面看,尽管包括文学在内的观念文化一直处于中原观念文化的附庸地位,但相对于原生的奴隶制观念文化而言,其成就还是可喜的。

The conclusion can be drawn as follows from the trade situation reflected in the Tang dynasty' s literature: The Lingnan culture in Tang Dynasty was a feudal trade culture in goods and system, but remaining a slavery trail. In the spiritual sense, the Chinese traditional culture dominated Lingnan region, replacing the local tribe culture. Following the development of the Lingnan culture in Tang Dynasty, the Chinese traditional culture conflicted with the local trade culture. The contradiction was not figured out untill the modern times.
