Research on strategies for popularizing Taiji Boxing among the aged in rural areas

剖析了新世纪初期农村老年群体的社会经济背景、身心特点,阐述了太极拳运动的健身、养生功能及其在农村中的推广优势,并在此基础上提出了在农村老年群体中大力开展太极拳的建议与对策。

On the basis of thorough analysis of the social,economical,physical and emotional features of the community of the aged in the rural areas in the early 21st century and elaboration of the functions of keeping fit of martial art and its advantages of popularization in the rural areas,this paper proposes suggestions and strategies for actively carrying out martial arts in the community of the aged in the rural areas.
