艰苦奋斗的内涵随着社会的发展而发展,现代社会的艰苦奋斗与对外开放紧密相连,与科技进步紧密相关,与合理消费相统一。可见,过去它是我党克敌制胜的法宝,现在仍然是全面建设社会小康社会的精神力量。培育艰苦奋斗精神是小康社会建设的需要,是参与国际竞争的需要。必须对大学生进行世界观、人生观的教育,增强大学生的危机感和使命感,坚持与时俱进地培育大学生的艰苦奋斗精神。

The connotation of living plainly and struggling hard develops with social development. The painstaking effort is closely linked with the opening to the outside world, with the scientific and technological progress, and unify with rational consumption. It is obvious that it was the magic weapon with which our party gained mastery over the enemy in the past, and now still remains as spiritual strength of building the social well-off society in an all-round way. To foster the painstaking effort is the need of constructing well-off society, the need of participating in international competition. It is much necessary to carry on the education of the outlook on world and life to university students, strengthening their awareness of crisis and sense of historical mission, and keeping on fostering their painstaking effort spirit with each passing hour.
