试论“五四”时期中国文学翻译的现代转型

On modern transformantion of Chinese translation from foreign literature before and after May 4th Movement

在“五四”时期,中国文学翻译不仅取得了巨大的成就,更为重要的是实现了从近代翻译形态向现代翻译形态的转型。同清末民初文学翻译相比,本时段有了十分显著的变化。这种变化主要表现在对译品文学性的重视、翻译方法的根本颠覆、翻译家角色意识的建立以及译介态势的多元化等诸多方面。

Before and after May 4th Movement, Chinese translation of foreign literature made brilliant achievements.Compared with that at the beginning of the 20th century, the translation from foreign language to Chinese experiencedan important change. The major question of this paper is inspecting the development of the Chinese literature translation .Firstly, it happened to the selection of subject matters—from political novels of enlightenment and utility and sciencenovels to literature which had more artistic values. Secondly, the change happened to the language used in the Chineseversion, i.e. the modern Chinese language took place of the classical or semi—classical Chinese language. At the sametime, the translators realized gradually the differences between a translator and a writer. And then, a new trend oftranslation appeared in Chinese history.
