<Abstrcat>The lack of the explanation of 'acquiring knowledge by the study of the phenomena of nature' in the text of 'Great Learning' left large room of explanation for the readers of the later generations. The ambiguity of Chinese characters gives the multi-dimension explanation of the meaning of 'acquiring knowledge by the study of the phenomena of nature'. The development in process of time is the explanation of all scholars in philosophical history; and the premise of the explanation is based on Confucius theory of the combination of benevolence and wisdom, and of being born with knowledge and acquiring knowledge by learning.
