Geological information is of spatial and multi-purpose service objects. The mining technology and its model as well as its familiar types are illustrated in the text.The necessity and feasibility of data mining technology in the fields of geological information system are focused .The author concludes the application prospect of data mining technology in the fields of geological information system.
