“虽有槁暴”不是“虽又槁暴”

Not Again(有), but Existing(又)

对《荀子·劝学》“虽有槁暴”中的“有”,历来各位注家要么注为“通又”,要么避而不谈。实际上,从语言事实等方面的考查来看,这个“有”不是副词“又”,它仍是一个表存现意义的动词。

Some scholars regard “is” of “although there is sunning” in Xunzi·Quanxue as “again”, an adverb; the other scholars say nothing about this question. Based on facts of language, the author of this paper tries to prove “is” is still a verb, not an adverb, it means existing in this sentence.
