The Great Gatsby is regarded as the best and mature novel in ideological level and artistic technique by the American writer Fitzgerald, which enjoins an outstanding position in the history of American literature. This essay makes an analytical study of the unique artistic achievement of the novel in four aspects as follows: the dramatic narrators, multi-narrative points of view, the placement of suspense and the poetic language.
