This paper introduces the OpenECU platform from British PI company, which offers a new auto coding and rapid prototyping solution to the development of engine and vehicle control system. It first analyzes the function, technical requirement and composition of hardware and software of OpenECU package, then describes the development process of vehicle control system by OpenECU.
