Translation and politics——the stable and unstable elements in Liang Qichao's translation activities

政治思想的变化引发翻译思想的变化,梁启超的翻译活动表现出“善变”的特点,但众多的变化都是为政治服务,受政治支配。梁的翻译活动在“善变”的表象下有政治影响的“不变”的规律。

Liang adjusted both his translation interests and strategies frequently. That is to say, there are many unstable elements in Liang's translation. However, this study goes on to show that what lies behind all these unstable elements are some stable ones, among which is the basic one that Liang's translation always revolves around his political activities. The discussion aims at highlighting the law is governed by politics to some extent.
