现代图书馆的信息服务呈现出馆藏文献数字化、信息服务个性化、服务环境虚拟化等显著特征。这就要求图书馆员在业务素质和职业道德、职业精神等方面重新定位。图书馆员角色应该从信息服务的“配角”转变为“主角”,应该是精神文明传递的使者。

The information service of the modern library represents some obvious features such as the digitalization of the literatures, the individualization of the information service, and the virtualization of the service enterprise, etc., which require the librarians to re-position in aspects of the professional quality and the professional ethics. And the role of the librarians should be changed from the supporting role into the leading role in the information service, and they should be the ambassadors for transmitting the spiritual civilization.
