From the origin and formation of the labor value theory of the Marxism, this paper discusses on the scientificalness and functions of the labor value theory, and from the angle of the historical development and the current historical conditions, expounds some new cognitions of the labor value theory, and points out that developing the labor value theory of the Marxism must respect the objective reality, abandon traditional conceptions and traditional theories, and establish the important position and function of the mental workers in the value creation.
