近代以来,知识界废除汉字、汉语的主张是没有民族自信心的表现。在信息时代,汉字比拼音文字有明显的优势,计算机科技的发展使汉字获得了新的生命力。而汉语古典诗歌也是打不倒的,背离了古典诗歌的体统,新诗的发展危机将难以消除。

The view of abolishing Chinese and Chinese characters has been held by the intelligentsia since the modern times. This reflects the lack of national confidence. In the information age, Chinese characters are superior to alphabetic language as computer science has invigorated the development of Chinese characters. Moreover, Chinese classical poetry is undefeatable and the adherence to tradition is important for the prosperity of new poetry.
